BRIEF: Greek teen behind ministry hacking attack
ATHENS, Feb 20, 2012 (dpa - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Greek police on Monday said they had arrested an 18-year-old schoolboy and identified two more suspects behind a computer-hacking attack on the Justice Ministry website earlier this month.
The attack, by a group of hackers opposed to the government's austerity measures, brought the website to a halt on February 2.
A police statement said the three claim to be part of the international "Anonymous" activist collective, which has attacked computers in several countries, including the websites of the US Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), among other state agencies.
Officials said the 18-year-old would be charged with illegally accessing computer networks. It was not clear whether the other two suspects, aged 17 and 16, would be charged with the same crime.
